For the price, $15 this is a pretty amazing little gadget. I have been a long time fitbit fan and up front the fitbit costs around $99-$150 depending on the model (one to Charge HR) This tracker by Pivotal Living is very similar to the Fitbit Charge, it does NOT feature the HR sensor, neither does the fitbit charge. I have also used the Fitbit Surge the Basis B1 and Basis Peak so I have a few options here to rate this against and those are all premium price trackers.

This tracker does sport some nice features.

    1. It is comfortable to wear.
    2. It charges fast (< 60 mins) and lasts approx 5 days
    3. It tracks steps, calories, sleep, active minutes.
    4. The app is pretty slick (on android)
    5. Reminders to move (optional)

I’m 3 days in on using this and have used the silent alarm, but it also has a neat feature of waking you at the right time by watching your movements. I set the setting to wake me within 20 minutes of my alarm time based on sleep pattern and this morning I was woken up 8 minutes before I normally get up as it detected that was the right time. Overall this is really working well and I am very happy with it.

The display is not fancy but is easy to read, it has a stop watch which is useful.

I will wear this longer and come back to update this review but so far it’s a 5 star product. At a price of $15 this is outstanding. You can also buy it on Pivotal Livings website at a cost of $12, however they do add $3 shipping so if you have prime and can get it next day or 2 day free it’s a better deal getting it on amazon.

I had been wearing a Fitbit Flex for several months and liked it alot with the exception of the battery life and the charger…especially the charger. Since the FB needed to be charged every couple of days, it was annoying that the charger wouldn’t connect with the element without being cleaned with a toothbrush and held in place with rubberbands. Then I heard about the Pivotal Living Band on CNET. I decided that I would test their band along with the Fitbit and see which one I preferred. I wore both bands on the same arm all Summer 2015 and compared the readings and the general ease of use. I expected that there was no way that a $15 band could compare with a $100 band. I was wrong. The FB does more things than the PL band, but most of them I don’t need. I was only interested in the sleep and step trackers. The clock, which I didn’t think I would use, has been very handy. The changeable band on the FB was nice but the colored ones got dirty pretty rapidly. I’ve had to contact customer support for both products and the Pivotal Living support beat the Fitbit support hands down. I have retired my Fitbit and now wear the Pivotal Living every day.

I bought one of the 1st generation bands. The set-up was easy, the price was great (then $12), and the ability to use the band with my phone was a real plus. I believe that it was pretty accurate on the steps, as I both walked and ran with it on, and it was close what my walking (3′ per step) and running (8′ per stride) estimates were. My #s were just guesses but they were within 10%, so that’s good enough for me. I thought that the functionality was good, especially for the price, which is what really makes this a better band than any other for a non-life-tracking fanatic like me.

I got a small scratch on the surface a few months after owning, but I think that was probably my fault and didn’t effect the usability.
